WRC Opens Photo Contest
Updated: Dec 27, 2022
If you love taking pictures, then the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission could have the contest for you. The organization is now accepting entries to its 18th annual Wildlife in North Carolina magazine photo competition. Entries are now being accepted through Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.
The event is open to both amateurs and professionals of any age. Employees of the NCWRC and their immediate family (children, siblings, spouses) are not allowed to enter.
Adult competitors must also be current subscribers to the magazine, or a small fee may be made to submit pictures on the contest webpage. Photographers in the two youth categories, 13-17 years and 12 years old or younger, may enter without a subscription.
The commission will only be accepting digital entries in the JPEG format, and no files larger than two megabits can be entered. No slides, negatives or prints will be accepted, and all photographs must have been taken in North Carolina since Sept. 15, 2018.
