Mrs. Velma L. Johnson, 84, 336 Cord Rd., Council, NC died Monday, October 31, 2022 at Premier Living & Rehabilitation Center in Lake Waccamaw, NC.
Survivors- her husband, Alfus Johnson of the home, three daughters, Diann Bryant of Elizabethtown, NC, Michelle Johnson-Izegbune(Chieda) of Georgia, and Celestine Beatty of Council, NC, one son, Spencer Johnson(Thereasa) of Hope Mills, NC, three brothers, Loydell Beatty(Jeannette) of New Jersey, Samuel Beatty(Leverne) of Council, NC and Cornell Beatty(Nevada) of New York, one sister, Maybelle Simpson of South Carolina, 4 grandchildren, Jasmin Vest, Joshua Johnson, Jalen Johnson and Torian Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00pm at Carver’s Creek Church Cemetery, 210 Carvers Creek Church Rd., Council, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Dr. Valentine-Sutton Page.
Viewing- Friday, November 4, 2022 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home.
