Truck, Home Damaged in Drive-by Shooting
Deputies are investigating a shooting report on Clyde Norris Road near Tabor City Friday.
The sheriff’s office said James O’Neal Johnson was feeding his chickens around 10:19 a.m. when someone drove past his home and opened fire.
No one was injured but a home and vehicle were damaged during the latest drive by shooting in the county. Four other people were in the home at the time. A 1999 GMC truck sustained $300 in damage.
An unrelated shooting incident was reported just before 10 a.m. Saturday.
Christopher Craft of Evergreen Church Road, Delco, told deputies that his neighbor was shooting to frighten some dogs, and accidentally hit the Craft home. At least one round penetrated the interior of the home and damaged a picture frame.
No one was injured and no one was charged.
