Stolen Tractor, Guns, TVs Lead to Jail

The trail of a stolen tractor found in South Carolina ended up on Old Stake Road Nov. 26.

Kevin Leon Tompkins, 29, of Old Stake Rd., Tabor City, was arrested for felony breaking, entering and larceny, felony larceny of a firearm, and for multiple outstanding warrants, according to jailor reports. His bond was set at $60,000 secured.

The sheriff’s office was called to Dusty Lane, Tabor City on Nov. 23 after an LS 3030 tractor and bucket, two .22 rifles, and two televisions were stolen. The property was valued at around $25,000.

On Nov. 24, the tractor was located by deputies and Horry County Police at 3955 Green Sea Rd., Green Sea, S.C. The investigation identified Tompkins as the primary suspect. He was later located at the Old Stake Road residence.
