Stein Announces Run for Governor

Attorney General Josh Stein announced his run for governor Wednesday, and immediately took some major shots at Mark Robinson, the Republican Lieutenant Governor expected to run for the same post.

Democrat Stein compared conservatives to quote “bomb throwers” unquote and said Robinson quote "wants to tell you who to hate” Unquote.

Stein’s announcement was unusually early, since Roy Cooper does not leave office until 2024.
