State Board Extends Ransom Poll Until 8:30 p.m.

Polls will remain open until 8:30 p.m. in Ransom tonight, due to computer problems earlier in the day.

The State Board of Elections voted in an emergency meeting today to extend Ransom’s hours, since a handful of the previously turned away voters hadn’t returned. The board voted not to extend hours at Chadbourn and Williams One, since most of the voters at those locations did come back later and cast a ballot.

The Ransom poll is located in the Community Center on General Howe Highway (N.C. 11).
