Southern Farm Days Gallery
Southern Farms Days is back through March 19. The event features antique and craft vendors, food trucks, animals, and tractors. There may be some rain in the forecast for early Saturday morning, but if you don't mind getting a little mud on your boots, you can go pet a baby goat or two, listen to Alma Galloway sing the National Anthem at the start of the Power Parade, see a tractor pull, and catch a wild west show.
Be sure to pick up a Southern Farm Days t-shirt for $10. The Cape Fear Heritage Club picks a show tractor every year, and Scott Walters of Elizabethtown draws out his rendition of the farm machine. The image is then mapped out and put on the shirts.
The event is held annually in the middle of March at the Boys and Girls Home horse complex. The center is located at Bill Thompson Lane in Lake Waccamaw.
