SCAP to Hold Resources Fair for Low Income Families

The Southeastern Community Action Partnership (SCAP) will be holding a Community Services Block Grant Recruitment and Resource Fair on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees can learn about programs, sign up for programs, get resources, and more.

The programs focus on providing food and clothing through Family Empowerment Self-Sufficiency (FESS) and community food partners to help low-income families get back on their feet.

Southeastern Community Action Partnership, Inc. studies the underlying issues involved in improving education, economic opportunities, living environments and the general welfare of the community to make recommendations for programs, projects, or activities. The organization then creates solutions for individuals who reside in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Pender, Robeson, and Scotland Counties.

The fair will be held at the City of Whiteville Recreation Gym located at 255 Recreation Center Drive. For more information, call 910.642.6083, or visit https://scapnc.org to find out all about SCAP.
