Paul Pait

August 2, 1929 - March 7, 2023 (age 93)

Paul Pait, age 93 of the Macedonia Community in Evergreen, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, N.C.

Paul was born on August 2, 1929, son of the late Vance Pait and Edith Hobbs Pait, and the husband of the late Ellen Nance Pait, who preceded him in 2013. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Bud Pait, Nina Lou Pait Watts, and Mary Eliza Pait.

Paul started his career as a carpenter at the age of 16, and also worked in the Burdette Crawford Welding Shop for a year. He eventually found his passion working on Ford tractors for Wooten Brown Tractor Company. In 1951, this became his life's work; Paul later began working with Session Tractor Company, retiring from the company in 2006.

Surviving family includes two children, Danny Paul Pait and wife, Sylvia, of Evergreen, Eddie Ora Pait of Whiteville; grandchildren, Mandy Norris, Paula Thompson, Jeremy Croft (Angel), Emily Cantrelle (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Brisson Norris, Madison Thompson, Liam Cantrelle, and Peyton Cantrelle.
