Naked Rapper Faces Charges After Blocking Roadway

Charges are pending against a man who was arrested for blocking U.S. 701 while rapping, naked.

The sheriff’s office was called to the Holiday Motel on U.S. 701 North of Whiteville Saturday around 5:11 a.m., according to reports, after a report of someone breaking a window. While they were en route, dispatch told the responding units that there was a “naked male in the roadway jumping in front of cars.”

On arrival, deputies found the man waving his arms and legs, and “rapping” in the roadway.

The individual was detained and transported to Columbus Regional for evaluation, the sheriff’s office reported.

The naked rapper allegedly caused $3,500 damage to a door, a large window and a bathroom at the motel.
