Music Festival Highlights Downtown

Updated: Mar 15

The city of Whiteville is showing off its downtown area in a different way this year with the first annual Music on Madison Festival.

The festival is a makeover of the Live After 5 and Whiteville Presents events and will be broken down into a series of music, food, and entertainment that will span from May through September.

The launch of the jamboree will be on May 27 at the old Lewis Smith Shopping Center. The day will feature special guest DJ Butch Halpin and the Master of Ceremony Dan Lockamy. The music festival wouldn't be complete without the talent of musicians such as The Catalinas, the North Tower Band, and the Black Water Band.

There will also be arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, adult beverages, and Carolina beach music kicking off at 1 p.m. Tickets are $30 at the gate, or you can buy them in advance online for $25 dollars. Kids 12 years old and under get in free.

The shopping center is located at 900 South Madison Street and will be the venue for the May portion of the music series. The rest of the events are set to take place at the Vineland Station Depot the last Thursday of each month through the summer and will be free to the public. Vineland can be found at 701 South Madison Street.
