Mary Magdeline Long Davis Cheshire, age 98, of Chadbourn, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Pastor Donald Conway officiating..

She was the daughter of the late Daniel Long and Susan Faulk Long. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Ivan Davis, and A. P. Cheshire; a son Grant Davis; grandson, Billy Ray Davis; step children, Wilbur Cheshire and Ernest Cheshire and a stepdaughter, Rena Cheshire Nobles; siblings, Fletcher Long, Lennox Long, Edgar Long, Jessie Long, Clifford Long, D.W. Long, Herbert Long, Mae Edwards, Emma Ward, Chairty Formeduval, Ethel Evans, and Dorothy Suggs.

Surviving family include, two sons, Wilton I. Davis and wife, Janice of Nakina and Rupert Boyd Davis and his wife, Linda of Roseburg, Oregon; a sister, Virginia Long Gore of Shallotte; step-daughter, Mavis Hall of Hope Mills, NC; special granddaughter-in-law, Mikkie Davis Nance of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Wilton Davis, Jr., Teresa Lynn Jones (Ben) of High Point, Julie and Christy; great grandchildren, Austin Davis (Hayley) of New Bern and Andrew Davis (Ashleigh) of Chadbourn, Nikki Davis of Wichita, KS, Emily Davis of High Point, Olivia, Sophia, Samantha, Anna, Jaelyn Davis and Olivia. and several nieces and nephews.
