Laverne Nobles

April 15, 1943 - March 7, 2023 (age 79)

Laverne Nobles, age 79 of Chadbourn, entered into his Heavenly home on Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023, while at his residence.

Laverne was born on April 15, 1943, son of the late Bert Nobles and Ovaline Allen Nobles. In addition to his parents, Laverne was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Amanda Nobles Gore, and his siblings, Billy Nobles, Siblary Fisher, Bobby Nobles, and Earl Nobles.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will speak to friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home.

Laverne was a jack of all trades and an excellent carpenter. Laverne was of the Holiness faith, and was a faithful solider in the army of the Lord; he loved sharing the gospel.

Laverne leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda Kay White Nobles of Chadbourn; two children, Laverna Kay Gurgainus and Gary Dale Nobles, both of Chadbourn.
