Granted a second chance of life after a heart transplant in October of 2016, Delane spent the last six years celebrating life with his family, friends and his dogs. He loved music, formal tea, going to thrift stores and eating seafood at Lake Waccamaw.
Delane lost his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Lisa Gore Sellers in 2018, his father Larry Delane Sellers, Sr and mother Diane Evans Sellers in 2019 and his stepmother Betty Denise Coleman Sellers in 2021.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Nicholas and Shannon Sellers of Wilmington, his “heart mother” Mary Ann Riddick-Wilson of Maryland, several aunts and uncles, a slew of cousins and a legion of friends who all miss him dearly.
