Helen Geneva (Hammond) Davis

April 13, 1947 ~ October 17, 2022 (age 75)

Helen Geneva Hammond Davis, age 75 of Whiteville, passed away at Regency Hospital in Florence, SC.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45, prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon Dew Hammond and Edna Rooks Hammond, and her husband, Bobby C. Davis; sisters : Janie H. McCumbee, Martha H. Bullard; brothers: John Ben Hammond, Dannel Hammond, Norman Hammond, Calvin Hammond, and Charles Hammond.

Helen was a beautician, having owned and operated Ranch Valley Beauty Shop for over 30 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Edna Marie Davis Watts (Roger) of Whiteville, Bobbie Jean Long (Donald) of Nakina, and Allyson Faith Lucas of Whiteville; two sons, Robert Carlyle Davis of Whiteville and John Mark Davis (Crystal) of Whiteville; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jesse Hammond (Reba) of Florida, Alice Creech of Whiteville, Edna Lane of Laurinburg; sisters-in-law; Myrtle D. Hammond of Whiteville, Linda Hammond and Genny Hammond of Jackson, Michigan; many special and loved nieces and nephews.
