Deer, Bear Seasons End in a Week
It's the last week of big game hunting season in North Carolina.
The Wildlife Resources Commission is reminding motorists that they can expect to see more hunters and hounds beside roadways through next Monday. Deer will also be more active in evenings and early morning due to hunting pressure.

Hunters are urged to wear an outer garment of safety orange when hunting bears, deer and hogs, both for safety and because of state law. Orange garments are required for hunters pursuing bear, deer, feral hogs, and all small game species.
Most small game seasons continue throughout January and February. Go to ncwildlife.org for more information about what to hunt and when.
