Cyclist Hit, Refuses to Help

No charges were filed after a Fair Bluff area man was struck while riding his bicycle Sunday.

Michael Rossi Hayes, 51, was struck by a car while riding his bike in the 1400 block of Swamp Fox Highway around 2:23 p.m. Damages to the bicycle were estimated at $100. Hayes’ injuries were not reported.

Hayes reportedly told deputies he was struck by an individual he knew, but Hayes refused to provide a name or cooperate with law enforcement.
