Charles Lee Norris

Charles Lee Norris, 76, of the Cribbtown Community of Chadbourn, went on to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2023, while in his daughter’s home.

Charles was born on September 30, 1946, son of the late Willie Lee Norris and Flaudia Cribb Norris. In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Rachel Perritte Norris and his brother, Ronald Junior Norris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Worthington Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Clarendon Cemetery; Pastor Roger Coffey will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, at the funeral home.

Charles retired from the Columbus County Bus Garage, where he served as a mechanic for many years.

To cherish his memory, Charles leaves behind his daughters, Tammie Norris Coffey and husband, Roger, of Chadbourn, Lori Shelton and husband, Ricky, of Kernersville; grandchildren, Matthew Cole Cox (Lauren), Aaron Luke Cox (Maliyah), Wesley Shelton, Bailey Shelton; great-grandchild, Sarah Kate Cox; step-grandchildren, Megan Sellers (Josh), Emily Coffey, Lindsey Garrell (Nathan); step-great grandchildren: Caige, Chesney, Colby, Elizabeth, Bryson, Karleigh, Harper; sister, Janice Norris Penny and husband, Houston, of Chadbourn; brother, Larry Norris, also of Chadbourn.
