As Football Fans from all over Columbus County were huddled in front of television sets last night, the Kansas City Chiefs squared off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the biggest game of the year. Brown Street Station in Chadbourn hosted their very first non-alcoholic "Super Ball Party", and Local Radio Personality Darrell Jackson from WTXY KOOL 103.9 FM was on hand as well to help pass out the door prizes.

There were plenty of door prizes

Brown Street Station Owner Greg Thompson said that there are plenty of Super Bowl events where alcohol is served, but he wanted to create a non-alcoholic family type event for those who just don't want to be around alcohol.

And although there was a small but enthusiastic crowd on hand for his "Super Ball Party", there were plenty of door prizes, as well as free pizza for all provided by Franco's NY Pizza and Subs of Whiteville.

A fun time was had by all, and plans are already underway for next year's "Super Ball" event. If you would like to hold your event at Brown Street Station, you can contact Greg Thompson at (407) 226-9088, or visit the website at www.BrownStreetStation.com

If you couldn't attend last nights "Super Ball Party", and you didn't get a chance to watch the game, Kansas City topped Philadelphia 38 - 35 in a close but exciting game.
