Broken Vacuum, Assault Reported

One man was charged after he allegedly assaulted a Chadbourn area woman and broke

her vacuum cleaner.

Adam Lee Simmons, 27, was held under $5,000 secured bond for assault on a female, injury to property and communicating threats.

Sheriff’s reports show that Judy Simmons called 911 after the suspect allegedly broke into her back door after an argument, scratched her on both arms and broke a vacuum cleaner.

Both are residents of the home.
