Alice Batten Price

April 13, 1933 ~ November 3, 2022 (age 89)

Alice Batten Price, 89, of Fayetteville, NC formerly of Whiteville , NC, passed away November 3, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born on April 13, 1933 in Columbus County to Jackson Ivey Batten and Jasia Jernigan Batten.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Johnny James Price, grandson, Rodney Folger, sisters, Joyce Batten, Evelyn Miller, Dora Gore, and Gail Hayes.

Alice worked in the textile industry and later as a homemaker. She enjoyed reading her Bible, crossword puzzles and gardening.

Alice is survived by her daughter Frances Folger (Juan) of Fayetteville, NC, granddaughter, Mary Barber (Dewayne) of Dunn, NC, grandson, Benjamin Folger of Parkton, NC, great-grandsons, Colton Barber and Brant Barber, sister, Barbara Lowrimore of Wilmington, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Flynn Cemetery in Whiteville with Rev. Darryll Hester officiating. Visitation will be held at McKenzie Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 12:30 PM until 1:15 PM.
