Two Hurt in Accidental Discharge

A small gun

Two people were transported to Loris Hospital after they were accidentally shot Sunday.

Tabor City Police reported that they were dispatched to Forest Glen apartments just before 1 p.m. A resident met police on the stairs and said two friends had spent the night with her. The unidentified male “had a gun in his pocket,” the report said, and when he got up, the weapon fired twice.

The man and woman went to Loris Hospital by private vehicle, the report said. They were later transferred to Grand Strand, the report said.

The incident is under investigation.
