Clemouth Leroy Brown

February 16, 1942 ~ January 30, 2024 (age 81)

Clemouth Leroy Brown, 81, of Whiteville, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC.

He was a retired educator from Whiteville City Schools and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 10, at Saint Mark AME Zion Church, 114 West Virgil Street, Whiteville, NC.  Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery.Obituary Image

Viewing will be at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Surviving are his wife, Annie Burney Brown; daughters, Latonya Brown-Puryear of Liberty Township, OH and Latisa McKnight of Creedmoor, NC; son, Derrick Leroy Brown of Memphis, TN; sister, Frances Smith of Haw River, NC; brothers, William Davis of Southport, NC and George Brown of Indianapolis, IN.
