Bladen Woman Found Shot

A small gun

Detectives are investigating the apparent shooting death of a Bladen County woman.

The Bladen Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were called to a home in the 18000 block of N.C. 87 at 8:49 p.m. Thursday to a report of a shooting.

When they arrived at the Carvers Creek home, they found Sylvia Brown, 63, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

The incident is under investigation.
