New Boil Advisory for Lake

Water coming out of the faucet

Lake Waccamaw water customers along Canal Cove and Waccamaw Shores are being advised to boil their tap water after a main break this morning.

The town reported a break in the area of 2402 Canal Cove Road. Customers from the 2400 block to Waccamaw shores, including Wooded Acres, will see periods of low to no water pressure while the repairs are made.

Due to the possibility of backflow and contaminants, any water used for human consumption should be boiled for one minute before being use. Customers are also asked to conserve water as much as possible.

The break is the second boil advisory in a week for the town.
