Trash Collections Delayed; Offices Open Late

Thursday trash collections will take place Friday, due to Tropical Storm Idalia.

County spokeswoman Amanda Prince said in an email that Waste Industries and Waste Management will not be operating due to the storm. Customers whose trash is normally collected on Thursday will have pickup on Friday “or soon thereafter,” the email said.

The county transfer station and convenience sites will be closed Thursday. All sites are expected to reopen as normal Friday.

County offices will operate on a two-hour delay unless conditions change.
