A Whiteville man has been charged with raping a 14 year old girl.

Michael Chayton Bullard, age 21, is being held under a $150,000 secured bond on a single count of statutory rape, jail reports show. His address was listed as 221 Northwood Drive.

The sheriff’s office reported that Bullard is alleged to have raped the girl on July 7 near Whiteville.

 Bullard was arrested Tuesday at his home on Northwood Drive.
