Veterans Memorial Park of America Ribbon Cutting Gallery

V33

The Veterans Memorial Park of America crew has been working diligently to open the park since 2016, and this week all their hard work paid off. Randy and Angela Norris cut the ribbon on Friday, May 26, surrounded by county and state officials and a host of veterans and their families. Clerk of Court Jess Hill, Chamber Director Joan McPherson, County Manager Eddie Madden, Whiteville Mayor Terry Mann, and Representative Brenden Jones were among the crowd gathered to celebrate the momentous occasion.

The opening of the park was held during the VMPA’s annual veterans meal ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. Here are some of the images captured by Columbus County News.
