A Pennsylvania man died Thursday when his motorcycle collided with a dump truck near the state line.

Robert Kuhn, 58, was killed in the collision. His Harley-Davidson motorcycle was headed south on N.C. 905 one mile from Old Dothan Road when the wreck occurred, according to Trooper Trevor of the N.C. Highway Patrol.

Anthony Gaglione of South Carolina was operating the dump truck.

The crash blocked the highway for several hours. Trevor said additional information will be available after the investigation is completed.

Kuhn was apparently heading for one of several Bike Week events in South Carolina.

The fatal crash was the eighth on county roads this year.

Out of respect to families of Victims Columbus County News does not generally publish photos of vehicles involved in fatal crashes.
