Mom’s Friend Charged in Murder Case

The reported boyfriend of the mother of a woman found dead in April has been arrested.

Brandon Wayne Mincey, 41, of Country Village Estates, Hallsboro, is being held under $750,000 secured bond. He faces one count of accessory after the fact.

Warrants show that between April 5 and April 15, Mincey disposed of evidence and helped hide the suspect in the murder case. He was arrested May 25.

Alissa Lee, 24, was found under Heartbeat Bridge in Nakina in April. Mincey is reportedly involved with Lisa Jackson, and escorted Jackson to the funeral home to make arrangements for Lee’s internment.

This is a developing story.
