Robert “Bobby” Clyde Singletary, age 77, of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, at his home. He reunited with his beloved wife, Wanda Skipper Singletary, his parents James C. Singletary Sr. and Gertrude Singletary, and his two brothers, Bennett Singletary, and James Singletary Jr.

He is survived by sons Robert Clyde Singletary Jr. of Bladenboro, James Hatrick Singletary (Katrina) of Raeford, and Ron Claxton Singletary (Cory) of Bladenboro, one brother, Ronald Singletary (Wanda) of Bladenboro, one sister Wanda Shaw-Cribb (Don) of Bladenboro and three grandchildren Ryan Singletary, Summer Singletary, and Paisley Singletary.

 Bobby served as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and worked with the NC State Prison as a guard for many years. He was an active member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro where he served as chairman of the cemetery committee and as a prior deacon. Bobby was an amazing man who loved with his whole heart.

He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a deep love for his dear wife, Wanda, and was devastated when he lost her just two weeks prior to his own death. Bobby never met a stranger and would often carry on a conversation with everyone he met. He and his wife loved to work in their yard and garden keeping it beautiful.

A devoted brother, husband, father, and grandfather that has left a great legacy for generations to come.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13th at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro from 2-3 pm followed by a funeral service at 3 pm with Reverend Warren Hill and Reverend Bruce Miller officiating. Bobby will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Bladenboro.
