Marvin Dale Guyton, age 64 of Clarkton, passed away suddenly on Saturday evening, October 8, 2022.  

Dale was born on June 3, 1958. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Virginia McKee Guyton; sister, Delane G. Garrell and his son, David Stubbs.

Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the Worthington Funeral Chapel with Reverend Charlie Tatum officiating.  Interment will follow in the McKee Cemetery in Clarkton (920 McKee Road, Clarkton, NC).

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

Dale was employed by E.J. Cox Company in Clarkton  of which he served as plant manager; He also served in the US National Guard. 

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandra Gail Hamilton Guyton; two sons, Kevin Stubbs of Dublin, Eddie Stubbs of Tabor City; brother, Marshall Guyton of Bladenboro; his father, Johnny Guyton of Clarkton; grandchildren, Cody Stubbs (Summer), John David “J.D.” Stubbs, and Elizabeth Stubbs.
