Rev. Edward Leonidas Moore, age 79, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

 He was born in Columbus County on August 2, 1943 to the late Samson S. Moore and Ruby Westbrook Moore.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife; Sheila Page Moore of Whiteville, a son; Edward L. Moore Jr. of Summerville, SC, two grandchildren; Emily Paige Bailey and Ian Alexander Moore, and one brother; Eugene Haywood Eason of Wilmington, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 307 S. Franklin St, Whiteville, NC with Rev. Robert Lapp officiating.

McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson St., Whiteville, NC is serving the Moore Family.
