The Master’s Mission hopes to bring some joy to children in the Ukraine this winter.

The ministry, led by Darrell Rooks, is organizing efforts to assemble both its signature Joy Boxes and Joy Bags for children in the wartorn country. The Joy Full Christmas project will not only provide the usual boxes of school supplies, personal items and small toys, but this year, the group is assembling bags of fruit and candy that will be purchased and assembled overseas.

The boxes will be shipped to Ukraine, where they will be met by a Master’s Mission team that will distribute the boxes and bags. The team will also provide special entertainment for the children. To be a part of the team, contact Rooks as soon as possible.

Donations for shipping costs are the primary focus of donations this year, Rooks said in a social media post. Fuel is $9 per gallon in Ukraine, and to make better use of funds, fruits, candy and other supplies will be purchased in Europe, rather than shipped from the United States.

The Master’s Mission is a ministry that provides basic needs, housing and other support in low-wealth countries, while spreading the gospel to those in need. They are best known for their missionary work in Mexico, Central and South America.
