Herold Ray Hilbourn, age 68 of Cerro Gordo, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC.
Ray was born on September 30, 1953, to the late Oliver Hilbourn and Letha Mae Blackwell Hilbourn.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Danny Lewis officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Lorine Hayes Hilbourn of the home; children: Christy Lorine McPherson of Chadbourn, Debbie Marlana McLain of Chadbourn; siblings: Virginia Ruth Hayes of Cerro Gordo, Nancy Inman (James) of Florence, SC; grandchildren: Alex McPherson, Nathaniel McPherson, Desaray Bartley, Sible Bartley, Destiny McLain; great-grandchildren, Teyan McPherson, Violet McPherson, Ariana Garner.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Ray Hilbourn burial fund, c/o Worthington Funeral Home- PO Box 352 Chadbourn, NC 28431.
