Donna Hamilton Canady 81, of Nakina passed on Friday, July 29, 2022.  She was born May 11, 1941 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Don Hamilton and Gladys Marlowe Hamilton. 

She is surived by sons, Ronnie Canady of Nakina and Barry Canady (Winna) of Nakina; a daughter Lynn Canady (Mark Williamson) of Nakina; brothers, Kenneth Hamilton (Delilah) of Clarkton, Robert Hamilton (Ann) of Elizabethtown, Maurice Hamilton of Cerro Gordo; a sister, Florence Gore of Whiteville; grandchildren, Cruz Canady, Elijah “Gator” Canady, Cassandra Martin, Maxine Miller, Austin Canady; great grandchildren, Bryson Lewis, Amiaya Neubert, Cammile Canady.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobby, Justin and Thomas Hamilton; a sister Jean Hamilton, her children Manley, Ray,  Scott Canady and her husband, Dumas Garwood Canady.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Gores Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Lane officiating.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. 

Her family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, August 1, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
