Cindy Marie Blackwell Harrelson-Ward, age 57 of Cerro Gordo, entered in the presence of her Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill.

Cindy was born on May 8, 1965, in Columbus County, to the late Billy and Fannie Powell Blackwell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeff Stocks officiating. Interment will follow in the Gowan Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Ward; son, Channing Harrelson of the home; grandchildren, Olivia A. Harrelson, Aubree E. Harrelson, Caison K. Harrelson; sisters, Linda Britt (Gary) of Chadbourn, Lisa McKee (Keith) of Cerro Gordo; nieces & nephews: Brittany, Brandon, Chelsea, Logan, Skylar, Ryleigh, Billy, and Hadley.
