Community CPR was founded by Wallyce Todd in 2017 to meet the needs of families suffering from unfortunate circumstances in Columbus County. This holiday season, the organization is partnering with the disAbility Resource Center to host the Adopt a Family Program.

The purpose of the program to help families who need assistance provide their children with Christmas gifts.

Todd, recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer award from the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, was also presented a check for $1,825 from Sheriff Jody Greene for the event. This money was collected from the deputies, investigators, and detention staff that participated in No Shave December.

The department has helped fund this program for two years in a row, and with Christmas drawing near, there are a few families still left who need help.

When donors contact the organization, staff will connect them to a family to find out the wants and needs of the children. The minimum requesting spending limit per child is $25.

Contact Community CPR at 910-625-7221 to donate or adopt a family. The last day to donate is Dec. 17.
