Roxie Green Nobles, age 92 of Cerro Gordo, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. 

Roxie was born on October 30, 1928 to the late Autman Taylor Green and Roxie Hammonds Green.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Howard Nobles; three children, Roxanne G. McDowell, James Howard Nobles and David Mark Nobles; six siblings, Jesse “Tennie” Green, William “Bill” Green, Myrtle G. Strickland, Cleo G. Rutherford, Geraldine G. Atkins, Aubrey Greene and Louise G. Ward.

She is survived by four children, Pansy G. Todd of Cerro Gordo, Lorraine Blackwell of Whiteville, Jimmy Wayne Nobles (Peggy) of Chadbourn and Deborah G. Smith of Chadbourn; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
