July 2, 1947 ~ September 2, 2021 (age 74)

Myrtle Jones 74, of Whiteville passed on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Columbus Regional Healthcare.  She was born  July 2, 1947 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Earnest P. and Lona Missouri Ward Jones. 

Myrtle was formerly a nurse assistant in healthcare. 

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Watts of the home; three sons, Tim Prince and Wayne Prince of SC and Aaron Jones of the home; a sister, Eva Jones Edmunds Lorencz of Whiteville and a brother, Paul Jones of Whiteville, grandson, Dexter Cartrette

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Emily Cartrette and Carolyn Watts.

A graveside funeral service will be at the Hosea Simmons cemetery.
