One man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted one man, chased a woman, desecrated a graveyard, and then fought with deputies Wednesday.

Paul Nobles, 34, of Davidson, was charged with assault and battery, resisting an officer, and desecrating graves, according to jail reports. He was placed under a $7,000 secured bond.

The sheriff’s office reported that deputies were called to 100 CK Martin Trail in reference to a fight. On arrival, they found Clifton Nobles, 58, of Midway Road with a head injury, according to the report.

While they were talking to Clifton Nobles, deputies were dispatched to another 911 call that identified Paul Nobles as the suspect, and reported that he was chasing a female on foot near Joe Brown Highway South and Clarendon-Chadbourn Road. The woman was located, but would not cooperate with investigators, the report said.

Paul Nobles was then found at the Church of God at 2692 Clarendon Chadbourn Road, where he allegedly drove across seven graves. The report said he then fought with deputies attempting to detain him. Nobles was taken into custody and charged.
