Cooper announces $5,000 reward for missing man

Gov. Roy Cooper today added $5,000 to the reward for information leading to the whereabouts of a Clarkton man.

Brandon Carl Wayne McDonald of Clarkton disappeared around 3 a.m. on March 25. He was last seen leaving his home, driving his 2003 Ford truck. McDonald’s father told investigators that the missing man called him around 7:10 a.m., and expected to be home within an hour. He never arrived.
The truck was later found wrecked and abandoned in Hope Mills. McDonald’s phone was last recorded active in the Laurinburg area.

McDonald is 35. He is a white male with blue eyes and blonde hair. McDonald stands 5’9″, and weighs 191 pounds. McDonald has a tattoo on his chest and each bicep.
