Bessie Lou Thompson, 86, of Whiteville passed on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born in Brunswick County, the daughter of the late Corbett and Farrie Simmons Coleman. She was a member of Peace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamie Thompson Hales and husband, John of Ash; four grandchildren, Emily, Wyatt, Isaac and Luke Hales.
Graveside service will be conducted 3:00 pm Thursday, September 9, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Whiteville by Rev. John Roberson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Bernard Thompson and a daughter, Emily Cheryl Thompson.
