Harris Lee King, 79, of Ash passed Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Center in Whiteville. He was born January 27, 1942 in Brunswick County the son of the late Victor Bailey King and Ivey Lee Babson King. 

He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. 

He is survived by two daughters, Denise Davis and husband, Wayne of Chadbourn, Natalie Carroll and husband, Roland of Whiteville; brother, Ted King and wife, Tina of Ash; sister, Jeanette McPherson of Ash; three grandchildren, Jessica Strickland and husband, Colby of Chadbourn, Joshua Carroll and wife, Brittany of Whiteville and Brinkley Carroll and fiance, Austin Lee of Whiteville;  three great grandchildren, Lance Strickland, Davis Strickland and Layton Carroll; special caregivers, Kay Clark, Madison Batten and Adrian Ammons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Lindburgh King, Thomas King, Will Davis King, Ronald King and Richard King.

A graveside service will be conducted 3:00 pm Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the King Family Cemetery in Ash with Rev. Willard McPherson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Easton Powell, Brenden Powell, Jerome Walker, Matt Dudley, Ryan King & Tommy King.
