Harold Dean Fipps, Sr., age 81 of Chadbourn, ran into the arms of Jesus on Thursday morning, August 26, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Harold was born on February 23, 1940, in Lumberton, NC, to the late James Kenry and Rosa Pauline Cliff Fipps. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clayton “Thomas” Cliff and Shirley Faye Dawsey, and a granddaughter, Ashlynn Carol Dudney.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29th, 2021 at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church (CPHC Ministries), with Pastor Donald Conway officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-3:45, prior to the service on Sunday.

Harold was the owner and operator of Harold’s Auto Body Shop in Chadbourn, for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. Harold was employed by Oakwood Homes for many years; he was a past president for Woodman of the World, a member of the American Legion, a Gideon, and a board of election member; He also served in the United States Air Force. Above all, Harold loved the Lord and served him faithfully; he was a faithful member of Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church for 62 years, where he served in many positions, including Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.

Harold leaves behind his loving wife, Glenda Elaine Jenkins Fipps of the home; children, Dina Carol Brown and husband, Tim, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Harold Dean Fipps, Jr. and wife, Michelle, of Gaffney, SC, Vicki Lynn Dudney and husband, Terry, of Albemarle, NC; brother, Charles Fipps and wife, Phylliss, of Laurel Hill; grandchildren, Samuel Wall (Kristen), Adam Murrell (Sarah), Kristina Bell (Nicholas), Harold “Trey” Fipps, III (Sherri), Taylor Fipps, Dylan Fipps (Parker), Ryan Dudney, Eric Dudney; great-grandchildren, Tenleigh Wall, Oliver “Ollie” Fipps, and Ellison “Ellie” Fipps.
