Carlton Monroe Cartrette age 85 died Saturday August 21, 2021 in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. 

Born July 5, 1936 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Cleve McCoy “C.M.” Cartrette and Rebecca McPherson Cartrette and the widower of Blonnie Cribb Cartrette.

He is survived by his children: Beverly Cartrette Mobley Sessions and husband Ricky of Socastee, SC, Tommy K. Cartrette and wife Marlene of Whiteville, Michael Cartrette and wife Traci of Whiteville, Debbie Hartzog and husband David of Goldsboro, and Sherry Beck and husband Doug of Whiteville; twelve grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Sheila Reed; and one brother: Lloyd Cartrette.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 2665 Beaverdam Road, Chadbourn, NC 28431.
