David Reed and his family are well-known for their work on the new fence and the riding rings at the Boys and Girls Home event center. They’re also familiar faces whenever there’s an equestrian event at the facility.

Horse enthusiasts from across the area came together Saturday and Sunday to raise funds for the Reed family. Their business was destroyed by a fire earlier this year. The Waccamaw Equestrian Summer Series hosted Saturday’s fun show, with all proceeds going to the Reeds.
