Victims identified in Chadbourn killings

Broadway Road was blocked while investigators secured the scene of a triple slaying in Chadbourn July 3.

The District Attorney’s office released the names of the three people gunned down at a party in Chadbourn Saturday.

Deonde Qwabe Sadler, 27; Mack Darren Jenkins Jr., 26 and Kameesha Daezhneka Powell, 21, were killed on Broadway Road near the closed Chadbourn Middle School. Authorities have not released the name of the fourth victim, who was shot but survived.

Chadbourn Police were dispatched to a shots fired call at Collins Street and Broadway just after 3:40 a.m. A large party was going on at the time, police said.

The three were killed in a parking area off Broadway.

District Attorney Jon David said in an email that due to the investigation, there would be no additional information released about the case at this time. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 654.4146.
