Three dead in Chadbourn shooting

Broadway Road was blocked Saturday morning while investigators secured what was referred to as "a large crime scene" in Chadbourn.
Broadway Road was blocked while investigators secured the scene of a triple slaying in Chadbourn July 3.


Chadbourn Police and the State Bureau of Investigation are on the scene of what may be the town’s first triple homicide.

Interim Police Chief Ken Elliot said CPD was responding to a shots fired call at 3:46 a.m. when the killings were discovered in a parking area on Broadway Road. Radio traffic indicated another person was reported wounded.
Broadway Road and Collins Street were blocked Saturday morning while investigators processed what has been referred to as “a large crime scene.”

Elliot and District Attorney Jon David called in the SBI to assist in the case. Elliot referred all questions to David, who did not immediately return inquiries.
