John Douglas King, age 64, of Delco died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at his residence .  Doug was born in Brunswick County to the late Rufus Vonnie King and Ruby Blanton King on December 28, 1956. 

Doug was a member of Red Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Delco and was owner/operator of Doug King Construction company.

He is survived by his wife; Susan Gay Rymar King of Delco; two sons; Steven Brent King and John Douglas King II both of Delco, four Grandchildren; Jenna King, Leeann King, Braxton King, and John King III, three step Grandchildren; Ashley Fowler Barkley, Josh Fowler, and Cody Fowler, and two great Grandchildren; Aubrey Barkley and Anthony J. Barkley.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 3:30 pm at the Red Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church, Delco, with Rev. Calvin Malpass and Patsy Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at the King Family Cemetery, Delco.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:15 pm at the church prior to the service.
